Permanent resort, located in the Southern Carpathians, north-eastern slope of the mountains Cindrel 35 km.distanţă of Sibiu, which, in fact, belongs Păltiniş is the oldest and highest resort in Romania.
The settlement, under Vf.Onceşti, which lies in a pine forest at an altitude of 1442 meters, was founded by the Transylvanian Carpathian Society in the late nineteenth century. Due to their age than a century, three of those over 40 while high summer, the resort,
have been declared historical monuments: Tourists House, Hall House Doctors and Monaco.
