Located in Hunedoara county, near Petrosani (20 km), at an altitude of 1445 m, Straja resort is ideal for a skiing holiday.

In Straja are arranged seven ski slopes, each equipped with air lifts (lifts). Four of these benefits the installation of night, making it possible to use the slopes until late afternoon. Slopes are such fan-shaped forming surfaces to ski in a length of 5 km.

Being situated on a northern slope, the slopes have snow from November to April. Due to the increased number and different disposition on the mountain vertical at Straja can ski even in difficult weather conditions.
