Belis is a commune in the county of Cluj, Transylvania, Romania, consisting of the villages of Bălcești, Belis (residence), Dealu Botii, Giurcuța de Jos, Giurcuța de Sus, Poiana Horea and Smida. The Giurcuța de Jos village was decommissioned by decree 223/1972 for the construction of the Fântânele accumulation dam.
