Homorod Resort is situated at 18 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, 34 km from Miercurea Ciuc and 6 km of the Vlachs.
It is situated on the Homorodul Great river valley and stream Bath, at an altitude of 740-760 m.
Typical alpine village has a microclimate, being sheltered from the winds, and is conducive to recreation, and postoperative recovery.
Featuring local interest baths of mineral water, with several mineral water springs (springs Lobogo, Maria, Csorga, Homoradi, Ilona, Fenyves). The common characteristic of these springs water is rich in mineral content (Li, Mn, Br. J). Both are used for curative purposes and as drinking water. After some indirect evidence of these sources is assumed that water was used during the Roman occupation.
Földvár ruins situated in Laz, near the old Roman road, was first described by Gabor Taglas. It was found that there are traces of a Roman castellum 36x36 meters. At only 200 meters south-west of it are other ruins of Roman fortifications, the 23x15 feet, probably dating from the Second Century. The two reserves are declared archaeological ruins as monuments of Harghita County Register in 1992.
The skiing is excellent to Homorod Resort but low enough altitude does not favor a very long ski season.
On entering Homorod Resort, on the left side of the road, is a church built in 1765 by Count János Lázár, as gratitude for the healing of rheumatism due to the therapeutic effects of this settlement. At the entrance is a wooden sculpture representing a monk.
