Dubova is a commune in the southwest of Mehedinți county, Banat, Romania, consisting of the villages Baia Nouă, Dubova (residence) and Eibenthal.
Dubova is located between Small Boilers and Large Boilers, 50 km from Turnu Severin and 25 km from Orsova.
Visiting Dubova, you can see: Decebal's face (a huge bas-relief 55 meters high, located between the towns Eselnita and Dubova); Portile de Iron Natural Park; Nature Reserve Large Boilers and Small Boilers Dubova; Ponicova cave; Mraconia Monastery; Troita in Dubova and the Catholic Church in Eibenthal.
Numerous local events are organized in Dubova, among them: the Days of the Children of the Village and Nedeea on September 8 and 9, the "Measurement of sheep" on the first Saturday of May, "Farsane" - Czech holiday in February and "Saint Varvara" on December 3.
Specific traditional activities: breeding of animals (goats, sheep, cows), in the nearly 50 saddles, fishing with saddle, picking in nature (strawberries, wild strawberries, mulberries, mulberries)
