The village is located at the northern end of the county, including high mountain area, including much of the Bucegi Mountains Bucegi Natural Park. In the village of Lake Bolboci and springs Ialomiţei Ialomiţei cave (where there is a small monastery) and the limit of Prahova County Omu Peak is the highest point of the Bucegi and Dâmboviţa county and tip Old Women. The village is crossed by the road linking DN71 Sinaia Targoviste.
