St. George is located in the city of Brasov depression on both sides of Olt, at an altitude of 550 m. Located at the intersection of several roads, the most important being DN12 connecting municipality of Miercurea Ciuc. Topography and climate conditions provided a favorable development of this locality.
St. George city administration has balneary Sugas Spa resort, known for its mineral waters and carbonated gases mofetta indicated in diseases of the heart and circulatory system. Located at a distance of 8 km from the city, the resort Sugas is considered a tourist attraction all year. It has a medium difficulty ski slope and installation of lifts (lift). Tourist accommodation is provided in hotels, villas and pensions.
