            Deva, Hunedoara county seat, is one of the oldest settlements in our country, the first mention dates from 1269, but archaeological discoveries within the Deva shows that the area has been inhabited since the Stone Age polished.

            Deva is located on the left bank of the Mures River, at 187 m altitude, at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains and Poiana Rusca. The city benefits from mineral resources of the mountains of the metal gold.
