Cetate Hotel is in the center of Oradea, which has been transformed in recent years, by completing large-scale investments. Hotel Cetate is located inside the medieval fortress Oradea, in the space constituted as a real tourist attraction.
Accommodation:
The hotel has a number of 17 rooms, arranged on 2 levels, 15 double rooms and 2 apartments. The comfortable rooms have facilities that respect the environment in which they operate. Hotel guests can enjoy breakfast and have a café.
The rooms through their construction keep a medieval air, being with high vaulted ceilings. Access to the room is from a common hall, guarded by generous arches. In the rehabilitation process, classic materials (brick, wood, glass, iron) and techniques from
the times of the initial construction of the building were used, giving a clear air to the entire hotel. The imperfection of certain finishes or details, instead of bothering, here denotes warmth.
Less conventional spaces in the original building, such as the smokehouse, (or former kitchen), have been preserved and integrated into the new function. Out of the ordinary of today's hotels, this hotel does not have two rooms identical in shape or size.
The design of the rooms resulted from the functions for which the buildings were initially built between 1775 and 1777, namely: the staff building of the Austrian garrison, for Corps D, respectively the barracks for Corps E (partially). The rooms are very generous,
with bedrooms between 20.5 and 22 sqm and halls between 132 - 162.
Facilities:
The hotel function complements the functions of the other spaces in the Citadel, and its opening we are convinced will bring added value to the area. The cafe located on the ground floor of the hotel, with a huge terrace, flooded by the sun, invites you to
relax.
