Location: The Maria Kober guesthouse is located at the entrance to Gura Râului in an oasis of peace, in the middle of nature. Located 20 km from Sibiu (DN1 Sibiu-Cristian-Orlat-Gura Râului), the Maria Köber guesthouse is the ideal place to spend a holiday of rest and recreation in the middle of nature.

The hearty breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, at noon and in the evening we offer you a rich assortment of Transylvanian dishes (Romanian and Saxon), wines and homemade brandy. On request, we organize country celebrations. If the children feel good and are not bored, the parents can rest, this is something we know from our own experience. In the country, children will not be bored: besides the joy of running around in nature, cows, horses, sheep, chickens - they are an attraction for them and we can show them.

Ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours or trips in the mountains, visiting the villages of Mrginimea Sibiului as well as the Ssetian churches-cities of Cristian, Garbova or Slimnic. The local monuments (orthodox church, icons, old wounded households with traditional installations "clothes rack" and "oil press" - functional, as well as visiting the city of Sibiu, are another option.

Other possibilities for spending your free time: In the summer we offer you the pleasure of a bath and a treatment at the famous salt lakes of Ocna Sibiului, which are just a few minutes away from us. In winter, you can organize horse-drawn sleigh rides, sleigh rides on the hills near the guesthouse, as well as skiing at Paltinis. And if all this demands too much, you can simply enjoy a walk through the winter landscape.
