Tirgu Neamt is a city in Neamţ County, Moldavia region, Romania. The city is located in northern Neamt county, west of the historical region of Moldova, and the north-eastern Romania. The city is located at an altitude of 365 m on the terrace Ozana River, a tributary of Moldova, which flows into the river Siret. With its location, the city is also the entry into Depression Neamt, at the foot of Pleşu Ridge, Hunters Peak (624 m). The main landforms are Neamţului Depression (Ozana - Topolita) and hills and peaks related to Subcarpathians Moldova: Peak Pleşu (sub-mountainous ridge) to the north, the hills Knolls, Humuleşti and Ocea south and hill Boiştea closing Ozana east valley. Pleşului Hill, with a length of 24 km, to the north, has a maximum height of 913 m. Towards Tirgu Neamt is the top fighter has an altitude of 623 m, which rises nearly 250 feet above the river bed Ozana by her rocky slope.
In Targu Neamt are two monuments of national interest - Neamt Fortress (centuries XIV-XVII century), monument of architecture; Memorial and museum-house "Ion Creangă" (1833) in the town Humuleşti classified as memorial or funeral.

Heroes Monument Mountain Troops in World War I (built in 1939) is classified as public monuments and memorial museum-house "Veronica Micle" is classified as a memorial or funeral.
