Crisan is the town where it divides, most often, most of the escapades in the Delta. Fishing village origins, Crisan has experienced rapid growth especially because of its privileged position on the most traveled channel - Sulina, frequented by merchant
ships as well as those of tourism and recreation.
Three large meanders of the river come together here, they are all ways of access to some of the original columns of the Delta. South to Caraorman Puiu Lake and Red Lake and the north shore of the Danube old arms, to Mile 23 or to the village and the forest
