    Dumbraveni

    Dumbrăveni, before 1945 Ibaşfalău (German: Elisabethstadt, Saxon dialect: Eppeschdorf; Hungarian: Erzsébetváros), is a town in the north of Sibiu County, in the centre of Transylvania, central Romania.

    The town lies on the banks of the Târnava Mare River, 20 km east from the city of Mediaş, 20 Km from the city of Sighisoara and 77 Km from city of Sibiu. Gegraphical, is located on the left side of the river Târnava, in the middle Plateau region of Transylvania, namely Plateau Târnavelor.

    Historical buildings and monuments
    Castle Apafi - Transylvanian Armenian Museum today.
    Romanian Monument of the First World War. The obelisk was erected in 1918 and is located in the Cemetery of Heroes, Hero Bumble Street no.38. The monument is made of brick and cement, having a height of 2.20 m. The marks on the monument are a soldier and two ballot boxes, without any documents.
    Romanian Heroes plot of the two World Wars is located in the town cemetery and was installed in 1919-1920. In this plot are buried 82 of which 81 unidentified heroes and a hero identified.
