Location: The Tourist Complex Șuior *** is located in Maramureș County, 18 km from Baia Mare Municipality. Access to the complex is on DN 18, on the route Baia Mare - Baia Sprie - Sighetu Marmației. The location is signposted at the intersection of DN 18 and the secondary road leading to the complex.

Description and general facilities:

The Șuior Tourist Complex is a different place from others, offering guests the perfect location for relaxation, escape from everyday life, business, as well as for practicing summer sports, but especially winter sports.

The terrace at Șuior Băza can accommodate over 40 people. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant, being in fact an extension of it.

At the premises of the Șuior Cota 1000 restaurant, there is a bar with the possibility of receiving more than 100 people, a place called "Bar - after skiing". It is the ideal place where tired skiers from the slopes can rest while drinking wine or mulled brandy, hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and where they can eat fast food, all in one pleasant atmosphere, inspired by the rustic style of the building.

The Șuior Tourist Complex has sports fields available to tourists throughout their stay. You can practice team sports such as: football, handball, volleyball, basketball, but also individual sports such as tennis, both on clay and bitumen courts. You can go hiking on the mountain, visit the surroundings with the help of a bicycle, motorcycle, or ATV, you can go jogging, you can play a game of paint ball, as there is a training ground and the necessary equipment to practice this sport.

Within the Șuior Tourist Complex there is a special place for children with specialized staff for supervision and animation - the Children's Playground. Children benefit, among other things, from swings and an inflatable game with a length of 21 m and a width of 5 m composed of: climbing wall and multiple obstacles.

The chairlift is only 50 m from the terrace of the complex and has a capacity of 1200 people/hour. It is equipped with a system based on TAGs (radio frequency transponder).

The Șuior Tourist Complex stands out especially for the facilities offered to winter sports lovers. Located on the northern slope of the Mogoșa Massif, with a length of 3600 m, the ski slopes of the Șuior Tourist Complex are rated as slopes of medium difficulty. The 2,700 m long artificial snow production facility, along with the 1,500 m long night snow facility and special machines for leveling the slopes complete the series of winter facilities offered within the complex. For beginners, a 100 m long slope equipped with baby skis and specialized instructors has been set up. Also, a ski or snowboard equipment rental center equipped with over 200 pieces of equipment was set up to support guests.

Room description:

Iza, Mara and Ignis are the three mini-hotels that are part of Șuior Base. They add up to an accommodation capacity of 99 places divided into 53 single rooms, matrimonial doubles, twin doubles and apartments. The accommodations are equipped with elegant furniture and all modern amenities. The decor of the rooms is designed in four colors: burgundy, beige, green and blue, each color giving the room its own personality and charm. The facilities are at the level of 3* stars: elegant furniture, minibar, color TV, satellite TV, telephone, wireless internet, private bathroom with shower cabin and hair dryer.

Șuior Cota 1000 consists of three rustic cabins, Gutâi, Țibleș and Pietrosu, named after the famous mountains of Maramureș. Each cottage has 5 double rooms and a spacious living room for relaxation. All rooms are equipped with rustic furniture and all modern facilities: rustic furniture, minibar, color TV, satellite TV, shower cabin.

Dining services: In the warm season, tourists can dine outdoors on the 2 specially designed terraces at Șuior Cota 1000. A smaller one, with 40 seats, located in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant and a second one located on the lake. The latter has 60 seats.
