The Bassen guesthouse is characterized by the name "small but shic" and represents a corner of nature and greenery where you will find the traditional life of the Transylvanian village.

Location

Pension in German style, is located in the old Saxon village of Bazna, known as a famous seaside resort.

Bazna is in a part of Romania that was inhabited by Germans where there are still many old churches built in their style and is only 50 km from the city of Sibiu, which was a German settlement and the cultural capital of Europe in 2007.

Room facilities:

Bassen Pension has 3 buildings for accommodation with a total of 10 rooms. The main house or grandmother's house has 6 rooms, all different, each having a specific name. Here you will find the room as: Schmetterling, Grille, Marienkäfer, Glühwurmchen, Hummel and Biene. In addition there are the story houses, located in the garden, each with two rooms. Also here every room has a name: room with tarpaulins, room with clocks, room with masks and room with plates, identified by the decorations at the entrance.

All rooms are classified as standard 3 stars, equipped with individual bathrooms with shower, tastefully decorated. No room resembles the other, in each you will be surprised to find a new, special element. The guesthouse has 5 rooms with double bed and 5 twin rooms. Most rooms have an extra bed.

It is worth trying to sleep in each of these rooms, each night will be a unique experience, being able to enjoy the story atmosphere.

Between October and April the story boxes are closed, only the grandmother's house functioning.

Hotel facilities

Pensiunea Bassen serves traditional local drinks, along with a wide range of modern drinks. Various outdoor activities include archery, cycling, survival training for small groups, camp fires and more.

The table can be served either in the dining room with a maximum capacity of 20 persons, either on the terrace or in the garden.

Each of these dining areas offers a unique experience through decor and atmosphere.

The food cooked in the house according to the taste of the grandmother, is traditional and made from natural products. Most of the benefits of the pension are made right in the house. Zacusca, sausage, sweets and many more can satisfy the most chosen tastes. Cheeses come from our neighbors, sheep, directly from the sheep, fresh. We have only known preparations, such as the Bassen Pension soup or the Saxon ham, which will surely delight your taste. Our desserts will remind you of childhood sweets.
For those interested in history, about 30 km away you can visit Sighisoara, one of the few fortified cities in Eastern Europe still inhabited today.
