Pension Iris (inaugurated in 2002) is situated at the foot of the volcanic massif Tusnad Ciomad Mare. It is ideal for seminars, training, team building and for training camps or workshops for athletes.

IRIS*** Pension provides confortable accomodation for 50 guests, in rooms with two beds or one double bed. Each room has its own bathroom, modern furniture, cableTV and minibar. Some rooms have corner bath or whirlpool, too.

Restaurant

Our restaurant provides friendly atmosphere for 50 guests and another 30 places are available on our summer terrace in the garden. In our coffee shop 20 guests can enjoy italian coffee or refreshments. The service is friendly, starting from morning to late night, performed by nice, foreign language speaking personnel.

Our kitchen offers traditional transsylvanian meals. Our guests will pleasantly remember the tastes of the trannsylvanian ciorba, the hungarian goulasch, the chiken paprikas, the beef steak in onion souce or the fried trout with garlic souce, just to give you some examples.

Our guests can choose their drinks from a large list, including transsylvanian wines, local and import beers and other alcoholic or soft drinks. And, of course, the best plum brandy called ”palinka„ and the Tusnad natural mineral water.

Large entertainment possibilities

To enjoy your stay, you can choose from a long list of entertainment possibilities.

At IRIS Panzió*** you can relax using our finnish sauna or the whirlpool bath or taking a professional massage.

In our interior garden, the kids can play in safety.

The spa center, at only 20 minutes from us, provides therapeutical bath with mineral water under professional assistance.

The beautiful landscape represents an excellent opportunity for hiking, the routes being well marked and safe.

Possible destinations can be St. Anne’s Lake (3,5 hours), Sólyomkő (Eagles Rock) (40 minutes), Ludmilla Kilátó (40 minutes) or one of the many mineral springs that can be found all over the place.

The sports fans can choose tennis, soccer, ski or skating. The sports hall of the city is available, too.

A special way of enjoying the beauties of the landscape is by horse-driven carriages.

Many famous tourist attractions are only at one hour drive from Baile Tusnad: Miercurea Ciuc and the Franciscane Cathedral in Csiksomlyó (30 km), Târgu Secuiesc (30 km), Braşov (70 km), Cetatea Balvanyos (20 km), Lacul Roşu şi Cheile Bicazului (100 km), Bran Castle (120 km), Hăşmaşu Mare Rocks (70 km).

In the interior yard of the pension you can enjoy the swedish minigolf course, including all accessories.
