Agropensiunea “Plaiul Castanilor” este situata in satul Gornovita, orasul Tismana, judetul Gorj, la o distanta de 30 km de Targu Jiu (DN 67), 6,5 km fata de Manastirea Tismana si 10 km de Casa memoriala “Constantin Brancusi”. Face parte dintr-o gospodarie taraneasca atestata documentar in 1864, departe de vacarmul urban.

The guesthouse is comprised of 7 rooms (25 places) with private bathrooms, its own central heating, TV cable, and Internet.
In the courtyard of the guesthouse, there is a summer terrace with 40 seats, and the protocol room offers all the comforts. In the evening, by a campfire and a traditional Gorj barbecue, you can enjoy a game of cards, rummy, backgammon, chess, or read a good book from the private library, with the administrators being teaching staff.
The guesthouse features a farm with cows and a small amusement park for children and adults with the following activities: Horse riding, Pony riding, Archery, Airsoft shooting, Zip line, Bungee trampoline, Trampoline, private parking, and the following recreational spots spread over a generous garden (2 ha): pond, mini-field with grass for volleyball and basketball, tennis table, football field, garden with fir trees, orchard with fruit trees.
The two ponies, Gogu and Lila, are waiting for you for horseback riding lessons and riding.
Pets are accepted for a fee of 30 lei/night.
